Joanna and Robin’s holiday San Francisco engagement photos convey their light-hearted personalities and the festive elegance of the city during the holidays. Decorating and celebrating the holidays were always an important part of their lives growing up as children; it was only natural that they would want to commemorate this spirit in their engagement session. As a wedding photographer in San Francisco, I knew that shooting their engagement photos amidst the holiday decor and the iconic landmarks of San Francisco in downtown San Francisco was the perfect choice.
There is a saying about the necessity of joining the Greeks in college for the networking opportunities. Joanna and Robin took the idea one step further by finding their future spouses! The two first met at the Alpha phi Omega community service fraternity, (which happens to be co-ed) while working on a project painting pots for plants to give to kids. It must have been kismet that their good deeds brought them together!
Both Joanna and Robin maintain that they aren’t serious people, and love to laugh. This is plainly evident looking at their photos. Then again, giant Christmas ornaments practically beg for people to interact with them in a fun way. These two also have serious acrobatic prowess – check out Robin’s deep squat while balancing Joanna on his back. They are natural performers!
We had a lot of fun exploring San Francisco’s Financial District, which was resplendent with holiday lights and decorations. To change things up a little, we squeezed in a few classic San Francisco shots with the San Francisco cable cars, and a couple of (extremely windy) shots with the Ferry Building. The engagement photography adventure ended at the Tulip Fountain at Embarcadero Center.
Joanna and Robin keep on laughing together always, wishing you ultimate happiness!
